After graduating with a bachelor's degree, Jean-Marc then completed a master's in Mechanical Engineering / Physics. At the same time, he had the opportunity of working at naval repair yards in Marseille, where he learned the skills of boilermaker, pipe-fitter and machinist. A passion for the maritime world convinced him to train as a Merchant Marine First Class Officer, and after completing his diploma, he had ten years of sea-going experience. During and after his certification as Captain and Chief Engineer, Jean-Marc served on passenger ferries, freight Ro-Ro's and cruise vessels. He has also served on supply ships and rescue and salvage tugs. His technical expertise led him to serve as Superintendent for a Shipowner. He took over EXPERTS ET CONSULTANTS in 2009. Jean-Marc's expertise in the Hull and Machinery field have allowed him to handle complex files at a national and international level, where he has become much sought-after as a marine technical consultant and in the specific area of crisis management for large losses.

He has monitored various new building projects (cable ships, seismic vessels and bulk carriers) with the respected French company LOUIS DREYFUS ARMATEURS, whether new construction or conversion projects, both in Europe and Asia.
